Riot Games has revealed that VALORANT Episode 7 Act 1 is set to unleash a number of different changes that are ready to bolster the playing experience for VALORANT players.

VALORANT Episode 7 Act 1 will feature a number of different updates and changes coming to the game. The biggest addition to VALORANT features a game system known as Team Deathmatch. Team Deathmatch is a 5v5 game mode that puts players against an enemy team in one of three custom maps.

“Our goal when designing Team Deathmatch was to create a combat-centric experience where players can showcase their creativity and mechanical skill,” VALORANT Game Designer Kyle Powell said. “This mode allows players to compete with fewer constraints in an environment that rewards bold plays and fast reflexes. We’ve streamlined many of the aspects of VALORANT to keep you always in the action and focus on finding the next fight. LIVE. DIE. REPEAT.”

Weapon spawners will be placed all over the map, alongside recovery and ultimate orbs. There will be four timed stages, no econ, and players will respawn every 1.5 seconds. The first team to 100 kills wins the 5v5 deathmatch.

Additionally, VALORANT’s in-game progression system will also be receiving an update for the first time since the game’s launch in 2020.

This new update will help bring new rewards for all of the players which will include reworked daily missions and new daily milestones known as checkpoints.

Another new addition to VALORANT’s in-game progression system will come in the form of new free in-game currency called Kingdom Credits. These Kingdom Credits can be exchanged for various accessories, agent recruitment events, as well as other cool items for VALORANT players.

VALORANT Episode 7 Act 1 will begin on June 27, 2023, when players' quest for Kingdom Credits and new updates to the in-game progression system can be accessed.
