Blizzard has officially announced the release date for the next patch of World of Warcraft Classic’s Season of Discovery Season 2. First announced at Blizzcon 2023 the Season of Discovery revamped and put a brand new spin on the Classic experience with Discovery Runes, a level 25 cap, and a new lower-level raid experience in Blackfathom Deeps. Season 2 of Season of Discovery officially launches on February 8th and will continue that same trend of Discovery with a new level cap and a new raid experience.
Season of Discovery Season 2
When Season 2 of the Season of Discovery rolls around in World of Warcraft on February 8th players will be able to raise their level to a new cap of 40. Along with this level cap raise comes talent points increases allowing players to attain additional talent points up to 31.
The new raid for Season 2 of Season of Discovery is the old classic dungeon Gnomeregan located just outside of Iron Forge. A massive dungeon with multiple entrances in its original incarnation should prove to be a vast raid for the level 40 capped players.
There will also be new sets of runes and abilities for players to take their classes in directions they’ve never before dreamed of and create new play styles to master.
