  • LOUD secure 3-0 start to VCT 2023: Americas campaign
  • Who can beat LOUD in VCT 2023: Americas League?

The start of the VCT 2023: Americas League has been the battle of all three Brazilian teams atop the standings.

So today’s match between LOUD and Furia was an opportunity for VCT 2023: Americas League to find out who stood atop the league three weeks into the regular season.

LOUD and Furia entered today’s series against one another undefeated in the VCT 2023: Americas League regular season, but only one of these teams would be able to have the bragging rights of starting the season 3-0.

While LOUD was viewed as the favorite in today’s series, Furia has showcased that they are a team that should not be underestimated. That close battle between the two teams was evident early on in the series as the teams took to Split to start the Brazillian showdown.

LOUD win Split 13-9 to go 1-0 in Furia series

It was a close affair between both teams in the first half of Split. While LOUD started strong with a dominant 5-1 start, Furia was able to pull it together to end the first half of the map 6-6. Things looked great for Furia in the second half at first when they garnered an 8-6 lead, but LOUD’s cauanzin was unstoppable after those first two rounds.

Furia was only able to grab one more round after a strong second-half start as LOUD eventually closed out the first map 13-9.

LOUD’s dominance over Brazilian teams continue

If Brazil is undefeated against non-Brazilian VCT 2023: Americas League teams, then LOUD’s streak of never losing a series domestically might lead this team to an undefeated season. Right now, LOUD does not look unstoppable, but figuring out their losing conditions in this current form may be a troubling task as they look poised to represent the Americas League at VCT Masters Tokyo.

That much was evident on Icebox in the second map as they dominated the first half 8-4 against Furia. Once they won the pistol in the second half, everybody knew that the series was over as LOUD pieced together a quick 5-0 second half to win their second map 13-4.

With this victory, LOUD is now the only undefeated team left in the VCT 2023: Americas League team. They will look to get their fourth and fifth wins of the VCT 2023: Americas League next week against Sentinels and Evil Geniuses. Going in as the heavy favorites, the question now becomes who can stop LOUD.

As for Furia, this loss was expected for the Brazilians. While today wasn’t their best showing, they will go into week four 2-1 as they look to add to the Brazilian teams, such as LOUD and MIBR atop the standings.
