Going into the C9 vs SEN VALORANT match, nobody knew what to believe. C9 has been one of the biggest surprises of the VCT Americas League and has only lost one match. Meanwhile, Sentinels had shown that the team’s base level of play was strong with SEN sixth man Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen in the lineup instead of Tyson “TenZ” Ngo.

However, one thing that many people expected to happen was for the C9 vs SEN VALORANT match to be closer than what happened.

Additionally, his star power in those opening duels left Sentinels star Zachary “zekken” Patrone with little opportunity to fight back in the series. After several heroic performances in the VCT Americas League, this match saw zekken picked off at the start of nearly every opening duel as he posted a 0.57 Rating in today’s series.

With this victory, C9 has collected its fifth win in the VCT Americas League and has nearly secured its spot in the VCT Americas League playoffs.

Cloud9 will move forward in the VCT Americas League, eyeing their sixth win. With only three matches left in the regular season, Cloud9 will take on MIBR, Leviatán, and KRU Esports to round out their impressive campaign. Their first in the final three weeks will be against MIBR on May 6.
