Heading into the LCS 2023 Spring Split, not many people put faith in CLG’s lineup to repeat the success found in the LCS 2022 Summer Split. Yet, time and time again, the CLG Faith continues to prevail as the new era of CLG has once again risen to the occasion by finishing the LCS 2023 Spring Split in fourth place.

Still, this past split was far from perfect. After a strong 2-0 start to the LCS 2023 Spring Split, CLG began to tumble in the standings. They lost multiple games to teams that they were slated to win against and heading into week 8, there was a strong chance that CLG could have missed playoffs outright. Yet, here we are, writing about how CLG once again surprised the community. Now, CLG moves forward into the LCS 2023 Spring Split postseason trying to win their first LCS split since 2016 Spring.

Esports Illustrated spoke to CLG support Philippe “Poome” Lavoie-Giguere in this interview about the LCS 2023 Spring Split and his growth transitioning from the NACL to the LCS.
