Top 5 SMGs to use in Call of Duty Ranked Play
With the Season 2 update of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 came the launch of Ranked Play which has everyone excited to compete against each other to get the prestigious Top 250 rank. We've seen CDL Pros like Drazah, Dashy, and Cellium already make their way into the Top 250. Now it's time for non-CDL pros to compete with the best of the best.
But what guns are the best Call of Duty players using? Here are the top five best SMGs to use in Call of Duty Ranked Play. Tune them to your liking.
5. Minibak
A 64-round shooter, the Minibak provides players with a steady aim and a load of ammo to take out an entire team. Whether you're sitting behind the couches on Hotel or holding down the bunkbeds on Asilo, this gun can get the job done against teams rushing in to take you down. You're sacrificing overall movement by using this gun, so don't be overloading it with attachments.
4. PDSW 528
If you're a Call of Duty player who isn't going to be flying around maps and needs an extended mag with little to no recoil, the PDSW 528 is the SMG for you. It doesn't give you that camera-breaking movement, but it will give you pinpoint accuracy at a decent range while you're taking on enemy fire. The rail of 50 rounds will help you wipe the team of four sitting on a hill without having to reload.

If you like sprinting across the map and B-hopping enemy players while peppering them with relentless bullets, look no further than the BAS-P. While it doesn't provide players with the God-like movement we were all used to in Vanguard, it does give you that sustained accuracy needed to win important gunfights. Whether you're a player that loves running around the map or sneaking your way into hills, the Lachmann Sub will give you the accuracy of an AR while providing better movement to snap out of the line of fire.

The SMG all the Call of Duty League Pros and many fan favorites are using is the Vaznev-9K. For those that like getting into the action with gunfights, it provides excellent mobility to fly around the map while maintaining terrific accuracy. After the Season 2 update, many of the average joes saw it get nerfed from medium to long range but it still holds up against any gun in the game. If you are your team's slayer, this is the gun you need to be using. And, let's be real - the CDL Pros are using it, which means this is what everyone should use.
