The Call of Duty League had its inaugural season in 2020, bringing a city-based franchised league for Call of Duty. 12 teams compete in three weekends of Qualifiers, followed by a four-day weekend of Bracket Play.

Each team competes in scheduled games against opposing teams in a best-of-five match, which features current game modes such as Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Control. Each game mode features different maps, but not all maps are featured in each game mode.

In 2023, there are five double elimination Majors, with Qualifiers being online and Majors being played on LAN in front of a live audience. Each team's performance in Qualifiers determines their seeding heading into the Major. Each match win totals ten CDL points, making each round played exceptionally critical. The top eight teams from Qualifiers make it to the Winners Bracket, with the final four teams starting in the Losers Bracket.

How CDL Teams Earn Points?

Teams will score ten points for each Qualifier win, but placing is what's key once the Major begins. Points throughout Qualifiers and Majors will reflect where teams will be seeded once the Post Season begins.

  • 1st - 65 CDL Points
  • 2nd - 50 CDL Points
  • 3rd - 40 CDL Points
  • 4th - 30 CDL Points
  • 5th-6th Place - 20 CDL Points
  • 7th-8th Place - 10 CDL Points
  • 9th-12th Place - 0 CDL Points
