Building the best Call of Duty League team
It's easy to look at a player's K/D and put them into a squad. But how can you build a team that would support each other and be unstoppable against other teams? You need to find an AR that will play support over the slayers, a flex that can be dangerous in any situation, a pure slayer that's out for blood, and an SMG that will support the slayer. Let's build a team of four that would dominate the Call of Duty League.
We are taking one player from a team to build a squad of four.
Slayer: Pred
After winning Rookie of the Year in 2022, Pred has continued to prove that he's one of the best players in the CDL. He's consistent in every game mode, but he's at his best on SnD. His presence around the map, even when he's 1v4, makes opposing teams nervous that he can clutch up at any moment. That type of consistency is hard to find, making him the perfect slayer for the team.
SMG: aBeZy
We've all seen what aBeZy is capable of. That 1v4 against the New York Subliners in Major 4 tells it all. He has slaying abilities while also being able to play a support role for the other SMG. Pairing aBeZy and his SnD prowess with the consistency of Pred would make for a dangerous duo on any map.
Flex: Scrappy
The likely Rookie of the Year is proving himself as one of the best players in the CDL, no matter the weapon in his hands. Scrap is disgusting with the AR but can switch to the SMG when needed. Even in SnD, you'll see a sniper in his hands. That type of versatility will go a long way on a team like this. Plus, the comms he will provide will, one, be very informative, and two, be extremely entertaining.
Main AR: Dashy
The experience and knowledge Dashy brings, paired with his pinpoint accuracy with an AR, is unmatched in the CDL. He's not going to be putting the numbers up that the previous guys will, but he'll be the one holding down angles and watching over the rest of the team that's on the objective. The piece of mind he'll bring to the team while they're flying around the map and getting kills will be the perfect match for the team.
This squad would be unstoppable on SnD and would be tough to compete against on other maps. What current CDL team would compete against this squad?

Viewers can watch the 2023 Call of Duty League through the Call of Duty Twitch and YouTube channels. If you are watching on Twitch, be sure to link your Activision and Twitch accounts to receive Twitch Drops during eligible events. The CDL will take place every Friday-Sunday over the course of four weeks.
