VT Matty Named Best Aimer In America At Red Bull Ready Check Championship
VT Matty has been named the best aimer in America after his dominant victory at the Red Bull Ready Check Championship in Dallas Texas.
For his efforts, VT Matty won $25,000, an AOC gaming monitor, and the title of Red Bull Ready Check champion.
The Red Bull Ready Check Championship saw eight qualified competitors and eight invited professionals compete at the live event in Dallas, Texas. The eight invited professionals competed on one side of the bracket while the eight qualified competitors competed on the other side until a grand final was set between the final qualified competitor and the invited pro.
Event viewership reached over 20,000 peak viewers across Red Bull’s Twitch and partnered streamed where viewers drew witness to all eight qualified competitors putting on a dominant performance in the various games.
“Bringing Red Bull Ready Check to life has been an absolutely fantastic experience,” Founder and CEO of Reb Bull Ready Check Partner State Space Labs Dr. Wayne Mackey said. “From the event’s inception to the task development to the Championship over the weekend, Red Bull has been a wonderful partner to work with in bringing this tournament together for the competitors and fans.”
The Grand Final saw VT Matty take on Cloud9 Jake “jakee” Anderson where VT Matty was crowned victorious by the end of the event. AimbotNeon and iitzTimmy rounded out the top four at the event for qualified competitors and invited professionals, respectively.
“I’m particularly proud of how Ready Check successfully showcased the discipline of aiming, a seemingly simple and ubiquitous talent that nonetheless can be developed into an athletic skill for esports athletes around the world,” Mackey concluded.
Following the events of Red Bull Ready Check, Red Bull will now shift their attention and efforts to Red Bull Campus Clutch 2023 taking place from Sept. 2023 to Nov. 2023.
