VALORANT Game Changers 2023 schedule
Following G2 Gozen’s win at VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship, female VALORANT teams are back in 2023 as VALORANT Game Changers returns for its third season of competitive VALORANT. During this very long break, women's teams have been prepping hard with hopes that 2023 will be their year at the top of the VALORANT competitive scene.
Here is everything you need to know about VALORANT Game Changers throughout the 2023 season and important dates to bookmark throughout the year.
VALORANT Game Changers Schedule in 2023
The following is the schedule for VALORANT Game Changers in 2023. Teams will be looking at these primary events in North America as they fight for their lion’s den share of $50,000.
Game Changers Series I
- Open Qualifier: April 4 to April 6
- Main Event: April 11 to April 14
Game Changers Series II
- Open Qualifier: July 13 to July 16
- Main Event: July 26 to July 30
Game Changers Series III
- Open Qualifier: Sept. 28 to Oct. 1
- Main Event: Oct. 4 to Oct. 8
VALORANT Game Changers placements
G2 Gozen is the reigning Game Changers World Champions
Similar to last year, teams will be fighting for points to qualify for the VCT Game Changers World Championship Event that happens at the end of the year. With all the points reset from 2022, all the teams will have three Game Changers events to collect as many points as possible. Here are how the prize money and circuit points will be distributed over the course of the season.
- 1st: 80 points and $20,000
- 2nd: 60 points and $10,000
- 3rd: 50 points and $7,000
- 4th: 40 points and $5,000
- 5th and 6th: 50 points and $3,000 each
- 7th and 8th: 20 points and $1,000 each
- 9th to 16th: 10 points
Only the top 8 teams qualify for the Main Event of every VCT Game Changers NA series while 9th to 16th are the teams who made it to the final stages of the Open Qualifier tournament. How much prize money they receive for placing in the top 16 is undecided yet.
With Cloud9 White no longer in VALORANT, everyone in the league is looking to become the next Game Changers champion in North America.
Teams interested in competing in the VCT Game Changers Series I Open Qualifier can register through the Knights Arena website. Registrations will begin on March 21, 2023.
When is the VCT Game Changers World Championship?
Shopify Rebellion GC was NA's top-performing team at VCT Game Changers World Championship.
Currently, there are no details on how many teams will qualify for the VCT Game Changers World Championship. Last year, there were eight teams present at the VCT Game Changers World Championship, but it is currently unknown if that number or regional distribution will change.
Regardless, teams will be looking to dethrone last year’s World Champions, G2 Gozen, who are back in 2023 looking to defend their championship title. The date for the VCT Game Changers World Champions is currently unknown.
