Japanese VALORANT team DetonatioN FocusMe officially became the worst team in the 2023 VALORANT Champions Tour and the organization is hoping to potentially replace the entire roster with open tryouts.
DetonatioN FocusMe didn’t win a single match all season. This includes all matches in the VCT LOCK//In Sao Paulo, the VCT Pacific League, and the Pacific LCQ earlier this month. Losing all 11 matches they were in has definitely solidified them as the worst team this season and it’s unlikely to be disputed.
For this reason, it’s no surprise that the organization is looking to make some roster changes before the 2024 VALORANT Champions Tour season. But how many players are being replaced is still unknown. Right now, three players have expiring contracts. It wouldn’t be surprising, however, if they were looking for a complete overhaul.
How to Try Out for the DetonatioN FocusMe VALORANT Squad
Think you have what it takes to turn the team’s luck around and improve their performance in 2024? Lucky for you, the organization has announced open tryouts.
After such a disappointing season, DetonatioN FocusMe hasn’t seemed to have luck singing VALORANT pros that are already established in the region. Now, the org is hoping to scout out new and promising talent.
The tryouts will be next year. You can be from any country but must be willing to live, practice, and compete in Seoul, South Korea. The official form mentions that you will be part of a gaming house in that city. For this reason, you must be eligible for a Korean visa.
All players who try out must be 18 years or older. The org is looking for gamers that are dedicated and motivated, who will get along in a team environment, and who are willing to be a part of any content the team has planned.
When it comes to your skill level, DetonatioN FocusMe hopefuls have to be Radiant rank in VALORANT and have a 600 Rank Rating or higher. You must have never used cheats or hacks. You will also have to get used to using the team’s PC setups, which include monitors and equipment from sponsors.
In return for being a respectful, dedicated, and talented player, DetonatioN FocusMe is offering to pay for your rent, utilities, and food costs while you live in the gaming house, located in the suburbs of Seoul.
You will also be given a PC, monitor, and other products from sponsors. There will be time to get used to your new setup. Their players will also be given free uniforms and other merch, as well as travel accommodations and activity expenses.
