The Top comps in TFT Set 10 Double-Up

An in-depth look at the top compositions players should be playing in the duo TFT game mode backed by data from MetaTFT

We are in the golden age of Teamfight Tactics thanks to the many different ways players can play the game. Although the main game mode lets players take on random players on a ranked ladder, the Double Up game mode allows players to team up with a friend to take on other teams in a cooperative but competitive experience.

There are a lot of intricacies that make Double Up fundamentally different from the standard game mode and because of that, the top compositions in Double Up differ from the ones in standard. But don't worry, figuring out the top comps in Double Up has never been easier. With analysis backed by data, Esports Illustrated brings you the top comps in TFT Double Up for Set 10.

Big Shot Ezreal

The main reason why Double Up plays differently than the standard game mode is because with two players working to make each other's boards the best they can be, it usually results in players being able to hit high-roll boards a lot easier. And because of that, the highest-capped composition in the game, Big Shot Ezreal, is the mode's top composition.

With an average placement of 3.88, this comp sits at the top as the comp that can play the most five-cost champions and still function properly. Ezreal is the main carry in the mid-game while the five-cost champions take over in the late. The comp also of course maximizes the potential of the Jazz trait too.

Punk Jinx

Of course in a game mode where players can send their duo partner champions , a reroll composition would be strong. And there isn't a better reroll composition in the entire set than Punk Jinx. This comp was a monster in the standard mode for a majority of the set but in Double Up its even crazier as it can come online much faster and hit just as hard especially when the Punk Jinx player can rely on their partner to help close out rounds in the late game.

It still has the same idea, Jinx is the main damage carry with Pantheon as the main tank while Twitch and Vi can do secondary lifting.

Pentakill Mordekaiser

Pentakill with Kayle as the main carry has been climbing in popularity in the standard game mode as of late with Mordekaiser as the main tank with the rest of the high-cost usual suspects as the supporting cast. This comp is performing well but in Double Up where getting Kayle to three-star three-star is free, its getting Mordekaiser to three-star as well. What makes this comp a top-tier threat. Kayle and Mordekaiser at max star level is more than enough to win lobbies, especially with the potential of a three-star Viego, Karthus or Akali in the late game.

K/DA Ahri

The "play it safe" comp of TFT Set 10 rings more true in Double Up than in any other game mode. With a team often putting one player on a risky comp that requires a lot of resources, a common tactic is to put the other player on a standard comp that is almost always going to hit. The comp plays the same as it would in the standard game mode but has an actual win condition of hitting three-star Ahri which is still capable of winning against the most stacked comps in the game.
