Teamfight Tactics Patch Schedule 2024 - When do TFT patches come out?
As a live-service game that demands constant updates to keep the game fresh and balanced, Teamfight Tactics releases patches on a bi-weekly basis.
Outside of a few exceptions, players can expect TFT patches to hit live servers every other Wednesday making hump day, the day to play TFT every patch. With that said, patch notes officially come out the day before so players can get accustomed to the changes they are about to see in-game.
To keep it even simpler, since TFT doesn't have its client and instead, shares it with some other game called League of Legends, TFT and League of Legends share the same patch schedule and as a result, players know when a TFT update comes out as it will release alongside League of Legends updates.
Riot Games
With that said, there are some exceptions to the every two weeks on Wednesday rule. Riot Games has a few company-wide vacations throughout the year that have the balance teams out-of-office. During these times, patches will usually run longer than two weeks and may even come out on different days depending on the holiday schedule. Thankfully, the player base does not have to guess when those discrepancies will arise as Riot has officially laid out the patch schedule for the entire 2024 year. The first patch of the new season will officially come out on the 10th of January and will start the bi-weekly Wednesday update schedule for a little over the month before the first anomaly being patch 14.4 which will be released on a Thursday.
Following that update, patches will then return to the bi-weekly Wednesday update schedule through the middle of May with one more Thursday update scheduled for May 30th. This is the last Thursday patch update of the 2024 year as every patch past that will come out on a Wednesday.
The only patch that will run longer than the scheduled two weeks will be the last patch of the year, 14.24 which is scheduled to come out on December 11th and will run through the end of the year.
