The Tekken World Tour is the premier capstone event for the Tekken series since its inception in 2017. This year Bandai Namco is putting up $100K in prize winnings for the tournament which is sure to be a fantastic send-off for Tekken 7. All of the action will take place on the official Tekken Twitch channel for all three days of competition.
Who Is Participating In The TWT Finals?
All of the top Tekken players through 2023 will descend on New Orleans and try to topple the defending TWT Champion Atif Butt from Pakistan. The favorite, however, has to be 4-time EVO Champion Arslan Ash whose career has marked Pakistan’s ascent in the Tekken world. Here are some other notable players entering the TWT Finals:

What Is The Last Chance Qualifier?
The Last Chance Qualifier is exactly what it sounds like. It’s the final open bracket before the TWT Finals proper with the winner clinching a berth into the Finals bracket. In the LCQ, there are quite a few players to look out for that could make some noise on the final two days. This could be the last chance for American star, Cuddle Core, to make the final bracket in 2023. Her compatriot, Shadow20z, only missed the cut by a mere 30 points.
So he’ll be looking to push his way in as well. Tekken legend, JDCR, also did not qualify on points but will be entering the bracket on Friday. There’s only one spot available for the winner of the LQC in the Finals bracket, so no matter what, plenty of competitors are going home early.
The LCQ stream will begin on Friday evening with tournament play taking place Saturday and Sunday. The winner of the TWT will walk home with $50,000 half of the entire $100k prize pool.
