Crunchyroll joins EVO 2023 featuring Street Fighter: Duel demo for Evo Attendees
Crunchyroll is set to join forces with Evo at the Evolution Championship Series in Las Vegas from August 4-6 through several experiences tailored to “gaming attendees.”
“Crunchyroll fans will join Evo’s core audience in being thrilled by Evo’s largest event ever as we continue to evolve our gaming convention with expanded activities like the 10,000 square foot retro arcade, Industry and Community Showcases, artist alley, and new vendors and exhibitors alongside our internationally renowned, and once again record-breaking, tournaments,” said Rick Thiher, Evo’s GM.
One of Crunchyroll’s key activations at Evo 2023 will be the chance to play Capcom"s new mobile Street Fighter title. Evo attendees can try the new Street Fighter: Duel game at Crunchyroll’s booth.
Street Fighter: Duel is a game that allows players to step into a ring to collect, level up, and battle with over 40 famous fighters across the Street Fighter series.
“We know gaming and anime fans share a love of immersive storytelling, engaging characters, and expansive worlds. What better way to celebrate the similarities than to deliver an exciting experience at this vibrant event,” said Terry Li, SVP of Emerging Business and GM of Crunchyroll Games, Crunchyroll. “We’re proud to team up with Evo to create a truly memorable experience for fans attending the event.”
The following will be present at the Crunchyroll booth throughout the Evo 2023 Weekend:
- Street Fighter: Duel demo where attendees can try out the new Street Fighter Game.
- Free Live Performances featuring artists like K?D, Shihori, James Landino, Meirlin, Hyper Potions, VGR, and Kino.
- Photo opportunities with popular anime characters through Crunchyroll’s digital photo booth.
- Free giveaways as well as Crunchyroll merchandise.
Evo 2023 will be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino from 10 am to 11 pm PT from August 4-6. Doors to the venue will open at 8:30 am PT on August 4-5 and at 9 am on August 6. The event has set multiple tournament registration records and is set to be the biggest Evo to date.
Those interested in purchasing a ticket to attend can go to Evo’s website to grab hold of their spot. Access to the Evo 2023 finals at the Michelob ULTRA Arena is all sold out, though entrance to the other days and events at Evo 2023 is still available.
The entire schedule of visiting vendors and exhibitors will be announced later throughout July ahead of Evo’s early-August window.
