The next Pokémon TCG expansion has been announced: Twilight Masquerade.
Scarlet & Violet — Twilight Masquerade is the next expansion in the Pokémon trading card game. It's focused on Kitakami, a place where people and Pokémon live amongst one another in peace. Here is what we know about the new expansion so far.
When Is Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet — Twilight Masquerade Coming Out?
According to an official announcement from The Pokémon Company, Twilight Masquerade is coming out on May 24, 2024.
What Cards Are In Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet — Twilight Masquerade?
Twilight Masquerade revolves around a place known as Kitakami, where Pokémon and humans live together in nature. This peaceful community has a lot of folktales, many that revolve around a masked Pokémon named Ogerpon. This Pokémon is debuting in Twilight Masquerade.
The above trailer showed six new cards coming to the TCG:
- Teal Mask Ogerpon
- Teal Mask Ogerpon ex
- Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex
- Heartflame Mask Ogerpon ex
- Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex
- Ogre's Mask
Teal Mask Ogerpon ex has an ability that lets you draw a card if you attach a basic Grass energy to Teal Mask Ogerpon ex from your hand. Its attack states that it does 30 damage per energy attached to both active Pokémon.
Heartflame Mask Ogerpon ex's Dynamic Blaze does 140 damage plus 140 more if your opponent's active Pokémon is an evolution. Then discard all energy attached to your Heartflame Mask Ogerpon ex.
There is also an item card, Ogre's Mask, that focuses on bringing your various Ogerpon ex cards into play.
Expect more Pokémon to be revealed soon as it gets closer to the May release date of this interesting new expansion.
