Overwatch 2 players have been anxiously awaiting Season 4, especially after Lifeweaver was announced. But what else is coming to Overwatch 2 when the new season arrives?
Overwatch 2 Season 4 Release Date
Season 4 is going live on April 11, 2023.
The exact time you can expect to see Season 4’s content, including the new battle pass, is 11 AM PST.
Season 4 Events Schedule
Season 4 is going to feature more events than any other season that’s ever existed in Overwatch history.
- Thai New Year: April 11 - 25
- Twitch Makes Overwatch — Talantis: April 25 - May 1
- Starwatch Galactic Rescue: May 9 - 22
- Battle For Olympus: May 23 - 29
- Symmetra Challenge: May 30 - June 6
Thai New Year
The first event coming to Season 4 is Thai New Year, which coincides perfectly with the arrival of the new hero, Lifeweaver — the first Thai hero.
Lifeweaver in Overwatch 2
Activision Blizzard
During this time, there will be an arcade mode called B.O.B. and Weave. This 3v3 Team Deathmatch mode has everyone playing as Lifeweaver. You can use his Life Grip ability to move a B.O.B. robot around the map.
Playing the game during this time will earn players Thai New Year-themed items, including some for Lifeweaver.
Twitch Makes Overwatch
This interesting event was first revealed in December of 2022 when Director Aaron Keller explained that there would be a livestream that allowed watching fans to design a new control map. The map ended up becoming an underwater Talon base set in the ruins of Atlantis.
This map is non-canon, of course, but it will be available in the arcade mode from April 25 to May 1.
Starwatch Galactic Rescue
This event is described as a PvP “space opera.” Players will be transported to a reworked version of the Horizon Lunar Colony map, where you “battle your way through new objectives” as a select group of heroes.
You can choose to group up with the Watchers:
- Space Prince Lucio
- Extraterrestrial Winston
Or you can be part of the Infinite Empire:
- Infinite Ace D.Va
- Seer Mercy
During this event, players will win free rewards. There will also be a comic book released during this event as well.
Battle For Olympus
You might remember this arcade mode from Season 2. The mythology-themed Deathmatch mode is returning from May 23 to May 29, allowing you to play as Overwatch 2 heroes that have been reworked to have Greek god-inspired abilities.
Symmetra Challenge
This is coming later on in Season 4, bringing Overwatch 2 players into June. Unfortunately, not much is known about this event just yet.

One thing we do know, however, is that players will be able to earn the Gardening Symmetra Legendary skin. Other spring-inspired rewards will also be revealed.
Overwatch 2 Season 4 Battle Pass
On top of all the events coming later this month and for the duration of spring, you can expect a cosmetics-packed battle pass. Like the previous battle passes, some rewards will be free — and will require massive grinding — while some are only available on the Premium Battle Pass. This means they cost money — $10 to be exact.
There are 80 tiers, including unlockable cosmetics and Overwatch Credits. Here’s everything you can expect.
There are 80 tiers, including unlockable cosmetics and Overwatch Credits. This includes the Mythic skin for Sigma, called Galactic Emperor. This sci-fi inspired skin makes Sigma look like he’s part of an intergalactic force for evil. Fans are comparing it to Star Wars for obvious reasons. This skin will be customizable, including some dynamic color schemes and an abundance of helmet and armor to switch between.
