Pokimane Announces She Is Leaving Twitch
- Pokieman announced on January 31st via Twitter that she would be leaving Twitch.

Popular streamer and influencer Imane "Pokimane" Anys shocked her fans on Twitter as she announced on January 31st that she would be leaving her home on Twitch after a decade of content. Calling it the end of an era, she thanks fans for all of the memories and love they've given her through League, Fornite, and Among Us.
Pokimane has not indicated what this could mean for what comes next for her. With her Twitch departure, Pokimane leaves behind 9 million followers. Twitch responded to her Twitter post saying, "What an incredible journey it’s been. We’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and what’s ahead in the future.”
Whether this is a retirement announcement, or she's waiting to unveil a new platform to call home, fans will have to wait and see. Pokimane has also tried her hand at other forms of entrepreneurship including a make-up line collab with Winky Lux and a brand of cookies.
Pokimane wouldn't be the first major content creator to retire from the scene. Early this year MatPat and Tom Scott both stepped away from full-time content creation on YouTube.
