Luvdisc Tera Raid Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Valentine's Day Rewards
- Three-Star to Five-Star Luvdisc Tera raids are found throughout Valentine's Day from February 11th to February 15th in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
- Players will earn increased experience and other rewards such as EXP Candies.
- Luvdisc will have the Fairy Tera Type in all raids, so it will always be weak to Steel and Poison-type attacks.
For Valentine’s Day, the Pokémon Company is bringing a school of Luvdisc to Tera Raids in Pokémon Violet and Scarlet. Starting on Sunday, February 11th, and continuing until Thursday, February 15th, players will be able to take on 3 to 5-star Tera Raids featuring the water-type Pokémon Luvdisc.
Luvdisc Tera Raid Start Time and Rewards
The event starts just a few days before Valentine’s Day on February 11th and will run until just after ending on February 15th. Players will be able to participate in several Luvdisc Tera Raids during this time ranging from three-stars to five-stars.
Luvdisc isn’t a great Pokémon by any standard, with decent base speed but overall, very poor stat allocation and growth. But the real reason to take on the three to five-star Tera Raids with the Fairy Tera-Typed Luvdisc is for the other rewards.
During the Lucdisc Tera Raids players will earn increased rewards in the form of Rare Candy and EXP Candy. The higher the Tera Raid level, the more Rare Candy and EXP Candy it will yield.
Luvdisc will have the Fairy Tera Type in the three to five-star Tera Raids throughout Valentine's Day week in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokémon Violet & Scarlet Luvdisc Tera Raid Stats
Luvdisc is a water-type Pokémon but will have a Fairy Tera-type for the three to five-star raids they will be in. Despite being a low-tier Pokémon, Luvdisc will still have full-perfect IVs in every stat. Their hidden ability is Hydration which causes the Luvdisc to heal whenever it is raining.
Luvdisc could have an assortment of moves that consist of four of the following; Charm, Sweet Kiss, Draining Kiss, Hydro Pump, Rain Dance, Ice Beam, and Soak.
While Luvdisc shouldn’t be very hard and can be done solo by most trainers, you’ll want to ensure you can change or negate the weather in case Luvdisc uses Rain Dance. A passive healing effect from their hidden ability paired with Draining Kiss could make some of the higher star Tera raids an uphill battle.
Best Counters for Luvdisc in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Any Pokémon with a good counter element to Luvdisc, specifically Steel and Poison, shouldn’t have a hard time taking them down and farming up several EXP Candies and Rare Candy. However, if you want to make the most of your time and deal with Luvdisc as quickly as possible, here are some superb counters to the Fairy-type Luvdisc.
Empoleon Build, the Best Luvdisc Counter
Luvdisc has decent speed, but not much else and with it a small move pool it’s not going to be able to deal with a high-defense, high-hit point Pokémon like Empoleon. Plus, if your Empoleon has the Competitive Hidden Ability, Luvdisc will be helping boost your Special Attack anytime they lower one of your stats.

As mentioned, Competitive will raise Empoleon’s stats anytime Luvdisc tries to debuff them. You can use Psych Up to copy any of the stat buffs that Luvdisc gives to itself, saving you some time. Then you just spam Steel Beam to quickly finish the fight and gather up all of your Rare Candy and EXP Candy rewards.

Other Great Luvdisc Counters
Because Luvdisc is already a very weak Pokémon and its raids are anywhere from Three to Five-Star in difficulty, you don’t need a perfectly curated and constructed Pokémon to take it down. If you don’t have access to an Empoleon, try any of these Pokémon as counters to the Fairy-Type fish, Luvdisc.
Galarian Slowking
Using Nasty Plot an Acid Spray will help to take down Luvdisc very quickly. Use Sunny Day to keep Luvdisc from using Rain Dance to heal over time.
Venusaur
With a similar strategy to Slowking, use Sunny Day to keep the rain away, this will also boost your speed if you have the Chlorophyll ability. Then use Growth to boost your Special Attack and easily take down Luvdisc with Acid Spray.
Munkidori
This Poison\Psychic-type Pokémon can also utilize the Slowking and Venusaur strategy against Luvdisc by boosting its stats with Nasty Plot and taking down the heart-shaped Pokémon with Acid Spray.
Other Lucdisc Tera Raid Counters
Other Pokémon that can utilize the Nasty Plot and Acid Spray strategy against Luvdisc include; Vileplume and Gengar. Victreebel can substitute out Nasty Plot and run Growth and Acidy Spray. Or, you can choose to take in Steel-type Pokémon like Lucario, Tinkaton, or Gholdhengo, using Swords Dance to boost physical attacks or Nasty Plot for special attacks.
