Patrick Mahomes, Quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and three-time Super Bowl Champion, has a list of accolades including being a 3x Super Bowl MVP and winning the NFL MVP award in 2018 and 2022. But in another life, if he wasn’t an NFL Super Star, he’d still be winning but in another field of competition, Esports.

Patrick Mahomes, the Call of Duty Superstar

On Twitter, Patrick Mahomes appeared in a video from TikTok where he was asked what job he might have if he wasn’t an NFL player. He quickly answered that he’d be an esports video game player. When asked what his favorite game was, he chose a classic in the competitive space with Call of Duty.

Though Mahomes would no doubt etch his gamer tag into the history books in some What If…? version of his life, at the ripe age of 28, his chances at making a splash in the esports world have probably come and gone. But with his third Super Bowl win under his belt, it’s not something that’s going to keep him up at night.
