Ludwig Returns to Twitch with Multi-Stream Creator Dodgeball World Championship
Ludwig Ahgren has spent the past few years breaking the mold on what streaming can be, and on December 4, 2023, he announced another new event. Ludwig’s Creator Dodgeball World Championship will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch, which will be the first time he has streamed on Twitch since he departed the platform in favor of YouTube just over two years ago.
After teasing a big announcement the day prior, Ludwig set the stage for many to suspect a return to Twitch in full. He tweeted the announcement with the social copy “New Beginnings” with a red circle before the words and a purple circle following them – the colors of Youtube and Twitch, respectively. The video announcement itself loosely parodied the announcement video by Tyler “Ninja” Blevins for his emigration from Twitch to rival platform Mixer in 2019.
In the Creator Dodgeball World Championship announcement, Ludwig plays coy with a fake media conference before announcing his new event to stunned silence from the would-be press corps.

After the “gotcha” for those thinking Ludwig was announcing a full return to Twitch, the details of the event are revealed. The Creator Dodgeball World Championship kicks off on December 10 at 12:30 pm and will feature 30 creators across six different teams, which are separated by their platforms as follows:
- YouTube
- Twitch
- Kick
- Podcasters
- Chessboxers
The event shares similarities with Ludwig’s Mogul Chessboxing Championship which took over the streaming space last year, but unlike the 2022 event, the Creator Dodgeball World Championship will be streamed on both YouTube and Twitch. Competitors for the event have not been announced at this time.
