GIRLGAMER Esports Festival Selects Atlanta As Host City For USA World Circuit
The GIRLGAMER Esports Festival, a series of events celebrating women in gaming, has selected Atlanta, Georgia as its host city for the USA World Circuit on Dec. 13, 2023. Atlanta-based esports events and production company Skillshot Media will act as the venue and production partner for the GIRLGAMER Esports Festival, while Ghost Gaming will act as the host gaming organization.
This event also marks the first time GIRLGAMER has held a festival in the United States.
“GIRLGAMER is excited to extend our global celebration of women in gaming into the United States with this partnership, “Tiago Fernandes, organizer of GIRLGAMER Esports Festival commented in a release. “The esports ecosystem in the city of Atlanta and across the state of Georgia is very well developed, as is the esports experience and mission commitment of our United States event partner Skillshot.”
The following is the schedule for the 2023 World Circuit:
- Daejon, South Korea: Aug. 25-27
- Dubai, UAE: Sept. 22-24
- Cape Town, South Africa: Oct. 24-28
- Atlanta, Georgia (USA): Dec. 13
- Mexico City, Mexico: Dec. 16-17
The games played at the World Finals will include CS:GO, League of Legends, and Rocket League, though, the specific titles played at each festival city are still to be determined.
Tickets and team qualification info for GIRLGAMER Atlanta 2023 will be announced closer to the tournament date. The event will take place at Uptown Atlanta.
