2B Coming To Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising
What Got Announced At Granblue Fantasy Fest?

- Two new characters Vane and Beatrix were also revealed and will release Spring 2024
Not content to rest on their laurels, Arc System Works announced a slew of DLC fighters coming to Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising in the next few months. Included in this first season pass of fighters is one of the most iconic game characters of the past decade, Nier: Automata’s 2B. The new trailer was revealed at the GBVS:Rising keynote of this year's Granblue Fantasy Fest in Tokyo.
In the reveal trailer, the android assassin takes on Gran and shows off some of her skills. She looks to be a powerful character with large sweeping attacks that take up a ton of the screen. She also seems to have a charge attack that closes the distance on her opponents. In addition to her trusty blades, Virtuous Contract & Virtuous Treaty, she’s also got her support pod to apply pressure from a distance.
This isn’t the first time that 2B’s appeared in a fighting game. Way back in 2018, she was a DLC character for the 3d fighter Soul Calibur VI. She retained many of her moves from the Automata in that game, even down to her “revealing” self-destruct function. Neir: Automata was released that same year, but now almost five years later she’s still a fan favorite even in the FGC.
When Does 2B Release in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
Also included in the season pass is the already announced Lucilius, and two new additions Vane and Beatrix. Lucilius is slated for release on January 16th, 2024 while 2B will release in February. Vane and Beatrix are planned for the Spring, in April and May respectively.
