Riot Games has officially revealed that Brooklyn-based artist, Thutmose will be the opening musical act to the LCS Championship in Newark, New Jersey.

Thutmose makes his return to the League of Legends Universe after previously performing as Ekko of True Damage at the 2019 League of Legends World Final in Paris. It is yet to be revealed what songs Thutmose will be performing during the LCS Finals Weekend.

Riot Game's recent musical act announcement falls in line with the start of the LCS 2023 Summer Split Playoffs where the top eight LCS teams will be competing for a spot at the LCS 2023 Championship weekend in Newark, New Jersey. The LCS playoffs will begin with Evil Geniuses taking on TSM on July 27 at 5 pm ET.

The LCS 2023 Championship weekend will take place in Newark, New Jersey August 19-20. Thutmose will take to the stage ahead of Sunday’s Grand Final on August 20 where the LCS will crown their next LCS Champion. All of this will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, home of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils.
