The League of Legends Patch 13.8 notes are officially out and about as League players now will have an opportunity to test out the new changes in the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational update. While Riot Games has mellowed out this patch compared to previous League of Legends tournament patch notes, there will be quite a number of changes for League players once they enter Summoner’s Rift. For starters, League players will be greeted with a lot of buffs in League of Legends Patch 13.8, like pro-play stars Poppy and Nidalee.

Still, that doesn’t mean every champion is safe as competitive darlings like Jarvan IV and Malphite have been nerfed in the MSI 2023 update as it is set to shift the meta going into MSI 2023.

Here are the main takeaways from the MSI 2023 update in League of Legends Patch 13.8 that you need to be aware of.

LoL Patch 13.8 nerfs and buffs.

The biggest changes to the MSI 2023 update have been to the junglers in League of Legends patch 13.8 who will be receiving major buffs ahead of MSI 2023. That list of junglers includes the likes of Kha’zix, Lillia, Poppy, and Nidalee who will definitely be tested by the MSI 2023 teams in compositions.

That being said, multiple champions in different roles will also be set to receive buffs. Champions like Leona, Janna, Garen, Zoe, Ezreal, and Kog’Maw are also ready to walk around with their new buffs.

As for Nerfs, the only champions that have received Nerfs in the MSI 2023 update are Rakan, Jarvan IV, Malphite, Kayn and Aurelion Sol. All four champions are staples in the competitive meta and it will be interesting to see how these nerfs impact their viability in the meta.
