Rise of Midas Brings New Quests, Skins, Cup to Fortnite
The latest Fortnite update has brought gamers the Rise of Midas, bringing special quests, game modes, and competitions. Here's what you can experience during Rise of Midas in Fortnite.
Rise of Midas Quests
Midas has escaped from The Underworld and is accusing Brutus of treason. Now, Midas and his crew are attempting to get onto The Marigold yacht to escape Hades' wrath. If you follow this storyline and complete the Rise of Midas quests, you will be able to unlock in-game rewards.
The Quests are split into five phases, each going live sequentially. All the phases will be available until Rise of Midas ends (Apr. 2, 2024, at 9 AM ET):
- Midas Rises: available right now!
- Et Tu, Brutus?: available March 20 at 9 AM ET
- Jules vs. the Golden Touch: available March 25 at 9 AM ET
- Myths of Midas: available March 27 at 9 AM ET
- The Great Marigold Yacht Heist: available March 28 at 9 AM ET
When you complete these six quests, you'll unlock the Cerebrus Medallion spray. If you complete 12, you'll unlock the Rose of Avarice Back Bling. Then at 18 completed quests, you'll unlock the Queen in Gold glider.
Floor is Lava is Back in Fortnite
During Rise of Midas, you can play a returning popular game mode: Floor is Lava. But there's a twist. Unlike the previous versions of Floor is Lava, this time you'll see items rom Chapter 5 Season 2 — and gold lava.
There are also Floor is Lava-specific quests that will go live sequentially. When you complete them, you'll unlock in-game rewards like the Lightning King and Zeus Medallion sprays as well as the Gilded Vengeance Pickaxe.
Ascendant Midas Skin
You will be able to purchase the Ascendant Midas skin in the Shop on March 26 at 8 PM EST. The Golden King's Cape Back Bling and the Golden Touch Pickaxe will also be available. The Shop will also have these three items in Shade Style, giving them a more "ghastly" appearance.
The Rise of Midas Cup
Take on the Rise of Midas Cup solo on March 24.
Earn the most points in your region to earn the Ascendant Midas outfit and Golden King's Cape Back Bling before they are available in the Shop. If you earn at least eight points, you will get the Rise of Midas loading screen.
You will play up to 10 matches within your region during a three-hour time window. Take part by going to the "Compete" tab in-game.

41st - 50th: 2 points
51st - 75th: 1 point
On top of that, each elimination will earn you 2 points.
