Everything We Know About Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash

A Jujutsu Kaisen fighting game? We're in! Here's everything we know so far about Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash including release dates, gameplay and more

Another big anime is getting its own game. Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash will bring iconic characters from the series to an arena fighter that has fans taking part in epic battles. Here is everything we know about Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash

From the gameplay we’ve seen so far, Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is a 3D action brawler that is similar to other anime fighters in that you create a team out of the show’s characters to fight in 2v2 combat. This game stands out in many ways, however, with tag-team attacks and combos as well as the use of Jujutsu Kaisen’s distinct abilities.

A lot of characters’ gameplay styles are inspired by their abilities and personalities in the game. For example, Toge Inukake brings his Cursed Speech ability into battle and he’ll need to use cough medicine to use it until his durability bar runs out. After that, using Cursed Speech will hurt him. Kento Nanami can time his attack to increase how much damage they do and his Cursed Energy refills rapidly when the battle reaches the end, which is a nod to his dislike of working overtime in the anime.

What sets Cursed Clash further apart is the implementation of Cursed Energy. Basic attacks don’t do any damage at all, which is a bit shocking at first. Instead, they build up your Cursed Energy Bars. There are up to three bars, filling up over time. At max Cursed Energy, your character will gain its ultimate ability.
