BLAST Paris Major: Everything you NEED to Know
Counter-Strike 2 is set for release this summer in 2023, and due to this, the BLAST Paris Major will be the final CS:GO Major before CS2 takes over. This Major will be the first hosted by BLAST, a tournament organiser known for their BLAST Premier events, and will also be the first Major held in France.
There is a lot at stake in the final CS:GO Major, with FaZe Clan looking to win back to back Major’s after their victory in Antwerp last year, and Vitality looking to continue their dominance following their win at IEM Rio.

BLAST Paris Major Schedule
The Major kicks off on Monday, May 8th and will conclude on Sunday, May 21st. The two weeks of action kick off with the Challengers Stage from May 8-11, before heading into the Legends stage on May 13-16 and finishing off with the Champions stage from May 18-21.
The Challengers stage sees 16 teams compete in two groups of 8, with the top 4 in each group advancing to the Legends stage. This section of the tournament will see a Swiss BO1 format played, with Progression and Elimination matches being Best of 3’s.
The Legends stage will see the same format, with the top 8 here progressing to playoffs, and the Champions stage, where each match will be a best of three in a single elimination bracket. The Champions stage will take place from May 18-21, and be held in the Accor arena in Paris, with tickets available if you wish to watch the Major in person.
BLAST Paris Major Teams
There are a total of 24 teams competing at the BLAST Paris Major, all qualifying through the RMR system. The first 8 teams to qualify automatically advance to the Legends stage, while the remaining 16 teams have to battle through the Challengers stage first.

Fans will be able to watch the Major on Blast.TV, a new platform that was created by BLAST to improve the viewing experience, featuring live stats and much more. However, the Major will also be able to watch on the BLAST Twitch Channel.
