The Call of Duty League heads to Columbus for Major 4, and the bracket is now locked. In an exciting last weekend of qualifiers, we saw three blowouts on the final day. Seattle Surge kicked off the Sunday matches with a 3-0 sweep over the Los Angeles Guerrillas, before the LA Thieves 3-0’d Minnesota ROKKR and the New York Subliners took down Boston Breach in yet another 3-0. This was a quick day of Call of Duty, but sees the bracket finally locked in place for Major 4.

CDL Major 4 Bracket

OpTic Texas became the only team to finish a qualifying stage with a flawless 5-0 record yesterday, and this earns them the number one seed for Major 4. The LA Thieves, Seattle Surge and New York Subliners join OpTic Texas in the top four, with the Las Vegas Legion just slightly behind in the fifth seed in their first ever Winners Bracket start at a Major.

Major 3 winners Toronto Ultra surprisingly start in the losers bracket for Major 4 following a rough 1-4 record in Qualifiers, joined by the Florida Mutineers, Los Angeles Guerrillas and London Royal Ravens.

Key Matches to Watch

Major 4 will unfortunately have no fans in attendance, but we know the action will still be delivered. The Winners round one matchup of OpTic Texas vs Boston Breach will have a massive impact on the outcome of Major 4. This is because the loser of this match will take on Toronto Ultra in the lower bracket, with the loser of that series being sent home with a Top 12 finish.

This is dangerous for Boston Breach, who currently sit 7th in the CDL standings, and just 30 CDL points clear of 9th placed Minnesota ROKKR. With just the top 8 teams qualifying for Champs, a top 12 placing at Major 4 for Boston Breach could put them in real danger of missing out on the biggest tournament of the year.

We also see a rematch of the LA Thieves and Minnesota ROKKR, a series which ended in a quick 3-0 sweep tonight. Seattle Surge also take on Atlanta FaZe in winners round one, a matchup we all know delivers every single time.
