Building 21 is a frequently-discussed area in Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s DMZ mode, a mysterious building full of challenges and loot. But how do you get in? And what’s in store once you’ve gone through its door?

When Can You Access Building 21?

Building 21 is only open for a specific period of time, meaning you can’t enter it willy nilly. It might be a bit confusing at first but Infinity Ward does have a pretty set schedule you can follow. In fact, Building 21 is only open on the weekends.

Infinity Ward will also warn players before Building 21 shuts down. This ensures players don’t start a mission and then get kicked out before they can complete it.

So why do you even want to enter Building 21?

Building 21 is a multi-floored structure that’s full of AI enemies and plenty of exciting loot. But it’s also going to be full of other teams since a few different faction missions require you to head inside. This means there will be plenty of encounters to be prepared for.

How to Get Into Building 21

Okay, so it’s the weekend. Now what?

The first step is to find a key to get into Building 21. Yes, a key. This is DMZ mode after all — you’ll start to realize everything needs a key!

Like other keys, the one to access Building 21 is unfortunately random. But there are a few spots where it’s more likely to come across the Building 21 key, although it’s still luck. If you’re on Al Mazrah, check out these spots:

  • Planes and drop boxes
  • Boss supply drops
  • SAM Site drops
  • Legendary crates

You probably noticed that some of these require you to initially defeat bosses and clear sites. So be prepared with the right gear and teammates before heading in.

Once you’ve acquired the key, you’ll need to extract from Al Mazrah. Building 21 has to be selected separately from Al Mazrah. And on weekends only remember!

What’s in Building 21?

Building 21 has three floors, all of which are full of enemies. The goal when you enter Building 21 is to get to the server room. But to do so, you have to wait until the security system is deactivated. During this time, there will be AI challenges that test your squad.

Once all of the enemies are taken down, go to the armory on the top floor. It’s located behind an orange door and full of great loot. Take as much as you can and then head back down, escaping through the elevator.

Completing Building 21 will get you the following rewards:

  • Camo Cloud Vehicle Skin
  • Company Sniper Emblem
  • Going Bark Weapon Charm
  • Roar Weapon Sticker
  • Silver Tox Chimera Blueprint
  • Weapon Rover Calling Card

As you can see, Building 21 is quite the challenge. It’s even a bit tricky to access it. But the rewards and loot are most definitely worth it.
