When it comes to Competitive games like Apex Legends, the most important thing a player has to consider that is 100% within their control is what skins to run. If you can’t always beat your opponent in a gunfight, you can at least rest easy knowing you look way cooler than they do. In Apex Legends, some of the best gun skins come from completing the seasonal battle pass. At battle pass level 100 and 110, players are awarded with evolving, reactive gun skins.

The Best Evolving Gun Skins in Apex Legends

These sought after skins have special effects that get stronger and change as you get more kills. Some are much better than others and here we’ll let you know which ones you should be running to let your enemies know that even if they get the drop on you, they’re still lacking the drip.

Wingman - Attention to Detail

Hands down, one of the sickest skins in the game is the Attention to Detail Wingman skin from Season 5 of Apex Legends. The Wingman has been a constant staple in the gun meta for professionals across the board. Its sleek design is iconic and sexy and when you start laying down your foes with headshots, the clockwork, steampunk aesthetic starts to show itself as small energized, flippers begin to poke out of the sides and whirl around.

R-99 - Revolutionary

The R-99 has always been a trusty secondary weapon to bring into those close-range fights and with the Revolutionary you’re going to be fragging out in style. Introduced in Season 7 of Apex Legends, the black contrasts perfectly with the neon green glow that it starts to emit as you rack up the kills. It’s an iconic color pairing that harkens to Xenomorph and its acidic blood and with it, you can be just as deadly.

Triple Take reactive skin "Trophy Taker" in Apex Legends.

Triple Take - Trophy Taker

In Season 14 of Apex Legends, there were not a lot of great skins to get excited about. But the Trophy Taker Triple Take actually has a pretty slick design. It’s not the best marksman weapon, but when you get this thing charged up with kills you’ll be hitting the Championship screen with style. The yellow energy that flows down this long gun against the dark exterior really makes it pop.

"Fatal Injection" skin for the Volt SMG in Apex Legends.

Volt - Fatal Attraction

Since the Volt’s introduction, it’s been one of the most consistent SMGs in the game, standing out in terms of its physical design and sound design. It goes a step further at just how alien it is compared to the R-99, Prowler or CAR, with the Fatal Attraction skin. The red and yellow is a familiar color combo if you’re a fan of Marvel and Iron Man. As you put points on the board the insect-like legs on the side start to move in rhythmic pattern and as you max out the evolution the wings on the battle area start to hum and flap to let you know you’re on a roll.

Flatline reactive skin "Heat Sink" from Apex Legends.

Flatline - Heat Sink

This list would not be complete without one of the most recognizable reactive skins in the game, the Flatline’s Heat Sink. Originally, what made this gun so popular was its iron sights were some of the best in the game because its design gave you more visibility. That’s recently been changed, but the gun still has a slick look and the evolution as it gets killed as lightning begins to arc across it, can’t be matched.
