5th Year Anniversary Cosmetic Skins

The biggest draw of new Collection Events is always the skins and the Apex Legends 5th Anniversary Event has some amazing skins this time around, even if some of them are recolored versions. Of the 25 skins, Collection Events usually have 6 Legendary skins for Legends and another 6 for Weapons, but Anniversary Events are different.

For the 5th Anniversary Event, there are 12 new Legendary skins for Legends which include Bangalore, Crypto, Seer, Catalyst, Loba, Valkyrie, Mirage, Octane, Fuse, Wraith, Pathfinder, and Wattson. Players can purchase these skins for 1,800 Apex Coins, or craft them for 2,400 Crafting Materials. In past events, the Anniversary skins have sometimes been half off for crafting materials.

Players can also save a few dollars in Apex Coins by buying the two bundles in the Event Store if they’re trying to collect the 150 Heirloom Shards.

How to Get 150 Heirloom Shards

Apex Legends 5th Anniversary Event keeps the tradition alive and will reward players with a set of 150 Heirloom Shards for completing the Collection event. Players who purchase or craft all 24 of the unique, limited-time cosmetics in the Event Store will receive the Heirloom Shards.

Heirloom Shards can be used to buy the player's choice of an Heirloom Weapon or Prestige Skin from the Mythic Shop. This is the most reliable way for players to get Heirloom Shards if they’re looking to pick up a specific weapon or skin. The odds of pulling a set of shards out of a loot pack is 1 in 500. Heirloom Shards are usually only offered during the Anniversary Events, but there was one Anniversary where they were not.

Straight Shot LTM Explained

A new Limit Timed Mode is debuting with the Apex Legends 5th Anniversary Event called Straight Shot. Fans of the Three Strikes LTM from the Post Malone Event will be excited for this one, as the Developers said they had similar goals in mind to get players right into the action.

The Straight LTM has an emphasis on skipping the early stages of the battle royale process like landing in a POI from the dropship, finding your loot, and then rotating for fights. Instead, the Straight Shot LTM will put everyone right into action and streamline the looting experience. Developers said they wanted players to get more reps of the battle royale in shorter times.

In the Straight Shot LTM all weapons on the ground will be fully-kitted and of random rarity from white to gold.

In the Straight Shot LTM all weapons on the ground will be fully-kitted and of random rarity from white to gold.

The first big difference for Apex Legends Straight Shot LTM is that there will be half as many players, 10 teams of 3, for a total of 30 players. The map size will also be reduced to compensate for this reduction in the number of players in a match.

There will be no jumpmaster or dropship in the Straight Shot LTM. Legends will spawn directly into a POI with their team and one other team. There will be no attachments on the floor loot, only fully-kitted weapons that vary in quality from white to gold.

Finally, if you are defeated, you can queue into the next match directly from the spectating screen. The Apex Legends developers have some other LTMs in store for players later in Season 20: Breakout.
